Our Senate Candidates for Queensland

Katrina (Kat) Alberts was born and raised in Sydney and made Queensland her home in 1988. She received a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from University of New England, Armidale, and holds post-graduate qualifications in Business and Public Policy. Kat has worked extensively in the music and arts field, having been on the grants Peer Assessment Panel for Arts Qld as the Contemporary Music representative, been Vice President and Treasurer of Jazz Qld, and the Qld representative for the National Jazz Committee. Kat has also been very involved in community arts and raising the profile of ordinary Australians enjoying and accessing their musical abilities, having run community choirs for the past 7 years. Kat is still active in the music scene, writing and recording with band ‘gods girlfriend’ and currently co-ordinates meeting and activities of the Qld Branch of the Secular Party

Martin Rady is a IT Project Manager. He is also a husband and father of 2 boys. He is the current organiser of the Brisbane Atheists Group as well as being a member of Humanist Society of Queensland, the Rationalist Society of Australia and Australian Skeptics Society. He is passionate about equal rights for everyone no matter what their race, colour or creed.
